Good Afternoon, OFE Families,
As the colder weather settles in, please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the conditions, which would include a warm jacket, hat, gloves/mittens, snow pants, and boots. It’s also a good idea to send them with a change of clothes in case they get wet or muddy. Our students go outside for recess when the real-feel temperature is zero or above, and we remind them that when it’s below 40 degrees, they should have a jacket on.
When there’s snow on the ground, students without snow pants and boots will need to stay on the blacktop instead of playing on the hill or equipment.
To help prevent mix-ups or lost items, please label all of your child’s winter gear. We do check tags when items are brought to the lost and found to try and get them returned.
Thank you for your help!
Mr. Zawacki
