Congratulations to our Introduction to Technology who successfully passed their leak tests after designing, cutting, and fabricating metal boxes using the plasma cutter, then welding them to make sure they were leak-proof.
Amazing job to our future makers, builders, and engineers, your hard work is paying off!

Students in our Industrial Electrical Principles class (a CVTC Dual-Credit course) have been diving into real-world electrical skills!
This week they learned:
How 3-phase power works
How to wire motor starters
How overload protection keeps equipment safe
Hands-on practice using Amatrol industrial training simulators
After mastering the fundamentals, they put their knowledge to work in a real-life engineering design challenge — building an automatic chicken coop door that opens and closes using an Arduino microcontroller and photo-controls.
Nothing beats learning by doing! Proud of these future electricians, technicians, engineers, and automation specialists!

A few FFA members, along with Ag teacher Ms. Hayden, visited the elementary to extend 3rd grade’s learning about plant traits. Students explored how unique traits help plants survive in their habitats — then put their knowledge to work by designing their own plants with special features to help them thrive! 🌱💡

Honoring Our Veterans
In Guidance and Art classes, students created special Veterans Day pictures that will be shared with local Veterans. Two additional care packages were also sent to the Tomah and Minneapolis VA Hospitals to be placed on lunch trays for hospitalized Veterans. ❤️🤍💙
This project is supported by a Guidance Department grant that supports community service projects throughout the year. Students have already spread kindness through the Kindness Rock Project and by decorating grocery bags for Stockman’s during Red Ribbon Week. Decorated coffee sleeves for The Nickel are coming soon! ☕️

Students started exploring the tricky concept of energy this week by making observations and wonderings about phenomena that demonstrates the transfer and flow of energy.
So far, they've taken apart flashlights, used energy sticks to build human circuits, shot marbles down tracks, and even done a little classroom bowling!
Stay tuned for ENERGETIC THINGS as these collaborative learners work hard to become electrical engineers and problem solvers!

Osseo-Fairchild High School students interested in healthcare spent Tuesday morning at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire for an incredible hands-on experience! Students explored careers in Sonography, Nursing, Echocardiography, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technology, and more.
They also heard from a healthcare panel featuring a doctor, pharmacist, physical therapist, nurse administrator, and physician assistant — sharing valuable insight into their professions.
A huge thank you to Mayo Clinic and their amazing professionals for welcoming our students and inspiring the next generation of healthcare heroes! 💙

Our 4th and 5th graders have the opportunity to voluntarily give up their extra recess time to serve others in our school! 🍽️
Students earn this privilege by showing great behavior, working hard in class, completing their work, and demonstrating respect and positive interactions with others. Once approved by their teachers, they learn valuable skills — from clean kitchen and sanitary practices to communication, teamwork, and responsibility during lunchtime.
Last week, we had a special mother/daughter duo — Kaylee and her mom, Sam Filla — serving together at the elementary school! 💕

November 3–7, we’re celebrating the important work of school psychologists across the country — and especially our own Sarah James! 💙
This year’s theme, “Finding Your Path,” highlights how school psychologists help students, families, and staff set goals, overcome challenges, and find their way to success and well-being.
Thank you, Mrs. James, for all you do to support our students and help them thrive every day! 🙌
