What are these studious 4th Graders up to? They're reading their weekly "Wisconsin Studies Weekly" newspaper to research the events and consequences of the French and Indian War. While it's one of their shortest units of study (only 2 weeks long!), they've read articles, collected notes, discussed their findings, answered questions, and written informational reports. Stay tuned to see the posters they're creating to teach their family, friends, and community all about what they've learned!

The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin is pleased to recognize the following Osseo-Fairchild student-athletes as 2025 Academic All-State honorees:

👏 Alexis Ness
👏 Emma Lyngen
👏 Kenna Gruba
👏 Leah Klevgard
👏 Sophie Pernsteiner

These students were nominated by GCAW member coaches and met rigorous criteria, including:
✔️ Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
✔️ Participation in at least 75% of varsity competitions during the 2025 season
✔️ Good standing with athletic and school conduct codes
✔️ Sophomore, junior, or senior status

🏆 Statewide, 521 students from 128 high schools earned this honor, with an impressive average GPA of 3.834.

We are incredibly proud of our Thunder golfers for excelling both academically and athletically!

🎶 Osseo-Fairchild Alumni Spotlight: Cole McIlquham 🎶

We are incredibly proud to share some big news from the world of opera! Osseo-Fairchild’s own Cole McIlquham (Tenor) has been selected as one of the 2026 Merola Opera Program Emerging Artists.

Selected from a massive international pool of over 1,500 applicants, Cole is one of only 28 artists chosen for this world-renowned program in San Francisco. This is widely considered one of the most prestigious honors for a young opera singer. Congratulations!!! Cole, you are a great example of turning a passion you discovered in high school into a meaningful career. Excited to see what’s next for you!
