The “Yes We Can” group continues to build valuable life skills thanks to the dedication of Miss Linda. Students were given gift cards and independently interacted with the staff at Subway, helping build confidence and real-world communication skills.

Students joined Mrs. Acker and Mr. K in delivering a special thank you basket to Levi and Kurt at the Nickel! ☕️🤎 Thanks to their generosity, the Nickel supplied coffee and hot chocolate for our Thunder Cart throughout the school year. Every Friday, the Thunder Cart helped “fuel” our elementary teachers while also giving students valuable opportunities to practice social skills and customer service. We are so thankful for community partners like the Nickel who help make experiences like this possible for our students and staff! ⚡️ #ThunderProud

Our third graders had an unforgettable adventure at Crystal Cave! 🪨✨🦇

Students explored underground wonders, learned about fascinating rock formations, and discovered how caves are formed — all while making amazing memories.

From stalactites to smiles, it was a day full of learning and fun!

Watch for more Crystal Cave Adventures to come. Our next group of third graders will be going soon!

Mrs. Simpson’s Advanced Anatomy & Physiology students took their final project to the next level this year! 🩺🔬 For their final, students were challenged to learn all about a surgery by reading a patient file, researching unfamiliar vocabulary and procedures, and even watching a live surgery video. Their final task? Correctly complete and narrate one of the surgeries themselves. The surgeries successfully completed included: • Lower Section Caesarean due to Preeclampsia (28 weeks) • Mohs Surgery for Basal Cell Carcinoma with a Paramedial Forehead Flap Reconstruction • Open Appendectomy due to Acute Appendicitis with Appendiceal Myxoglobulosis Mrs. Simpson shared: “This may be one of my favorite highlights of all time in my teaching career. My heart is full today.” We are incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication from both these students and Mrs. Simpson! 👏 #ThunderProud
