🎓🧡 Senior Spotlight – Izzabella Garbers 🧡🎓

We’re shining the spotlight on the Class of 2026!

🎓 Plans After Graduation:
I plan to attend CVTC for the two-year nursing program. 🩺

📚 Favorite Subject:
World Culture, because I didn’t just learn about the world as it is now, but how it used to be and how much it has changed.

🍎 Favorite Teachers:
I wouldn’t say I have just one favorite teacher.

In grade school, it was Mr. Black. When I was having a bad day, he wouldn’t yell at me or threaten to call my mom. Instead, he would sit down and talk with me about how I could turn my day around. He also stood up for kids in the class who didn’t have a voice.

In middle school, my favorite was Ms. Walters. She helped everyone in the way they needed and walked us through lessons step by step. She took the time to get to know her students one-on-one and always made sure we were okay.

In high school, it would have to be Mr. Stoik. At first, we didn’t get along as I went in with a negative attitude. Instead of getting upset or returning the same rude energy, he stayed patient and respectful.

💬 **What I’ll Miss Most:**
I’ll miss the lunch ladies because they did more than just serve food. They made school feel welcoming every day with their smiles, jokes, and kindness. No matter how stressful the day was, they were always there — not only to cook, but to care — and that’s something I’ll always remember.

🏐 Activities I’ve Been Involved In:
Volleyball, FFA, and FCCLA

💡 Advice for Younger Classmen:
Be yourself — everyone else is already taken.

Best wishes, Izzabella! We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see the difference you’ll make in the nursing field! 🧡🖤⚡

Osseo-Fairchild Middle School students are getting hands-on experience with industry-level automation!

This week, our middle schoolers had the opportunity to train using FANUC robots, learning the basics of robotics, programming, and advanced manufacturing technology.

Experiences like this give students early exposure to high-demand career pathways in automation, engineering, and manufacturing, right here at Osseo-Fairchild. We are proud to provide real-world learning opportunities that help motivate, educate, and empower our students for a successful future.

Shoutout to Aiden Johnson and Nick Morales for volunteering their time in the kitchen today! 👏

They helped prepare pickle salad for lunch, and Aiden also jumped in to pan up the French fries.

We love seeing students step up, lend a hand, and take pride in helping out around school. Great work, guys! 🧡🖤

Another day, another proud 4th Grader showing off their sweet skills!

Check out Violet, Deklan, and Elliot with the final drafts of their friendly letters! Students wrote to family members, friends, companies, athletes, celebrities (and even Mr. Zawacki!) in hopes of getting a letter back.

Did you know our OFE 4th Graders learn how to write cursive AND type fluently? We prepare our students for all of life's opportunities and challenges by making sure they're well-rounded, well-skilled, and adaptable.

Fun fact: Studies show that learning cursive improves both fine motor skills and mental focus/stamina!

Libraries are usually so quiet you could hear a pin drop… 🎯

But today in the elementary library, you could definitely hear a ball drop! 😂

Our students had a blast playing GIANT Kerplunk — carefully pulling sticks and hoping the balls wouldn’t come tumbling down. Learning, laughter, and just a little suspense… we love it! 🧡🖤

Thanks for all the fun you add to our library, Mrs. Lyngen!

✏️🧡 Grammar can be fun! 🖤✏️

Mrs. Marino’s Freshman English classes have been sharpening their grammar skills this week — and having a blast doing it!

Students have been labeling sentences correctly, competing in grammar challenges, and participating in multiple activities designed to make learning engaging and interactive.

Who knew proper grammar could get so competitive? 😉📚

Great work, freshmen! ⚡

🎭🧡 Shakespeare Comes to Life! 🖤🎭

Last Wednesday, Ms. Marino’s Shakespeare students (along with her student teacher) braved the snow to travel to Minneapolis to see *Macbeth* at the Guthrie Theater. ❄️

It was a fantastic performance, and students loved watching the play they read this fall come to life on stage. What an incredible opportunity to experience live theater ! 🎬📖

🧡🖤 Wall of Honor Recognition 🖤🧡

The Wall of Honor celebrates community members whose service has made a meaningful and lasting impact on the Osseo-Fairchild community and school district.

We proudly honor inductee, Charles Kaufman! 👏

Charles Kaufman grew up in Fairchild and attended Fairchild Elementary School. Charles graduated at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Neillsville. Charles held employment positions at Pierce Christmas Tree Farm, Boullion Dairy Farm, Nelson Muffler Plant in Neillsville, and the Ashley Furniture shipping department. He enjoyed spending time with his family and helping others in need. Charles joined his cousin, Kelly, enlisting in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. He was ordered to active duty in June of 2004 and deployed to Iraq in January of 2005 as a member of “Charlie” Company, 1st Battalion, 128th Infantry, part of the “Red Arrow Brigade.” Charles served as an example for his family, friends, and members of his battalion. He showed kindness and compassion for others, especially children. On June 26, 2005, Charles was killed in action when an improvised explosive device detonated on the driver’s side of his vehicle while he was returning from a mission in Baghdad. In 2021, the Lake Martha Days Murph Challenge was established in Charles’s name to raise funds for a military appreciation scholarship.

🎨🧡 When art imitates life… 🖤🎨

While drawing Morgan Wallen for class during ACP, Emerick started to notice something familiar about his masterpiece… 👀

Turns out, his portrait was looking an awful lot like Garrett K.! 😂

We love seeing creativity (and a little humor) shining through in our classrooms! Great work, Emerick! 🎶✏️
