🌟 NHS Senior Spotlight Series 🌟
Our National Honor Society seniors have spent this year giving back through meaningful service projects that reflect leadership, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference. Each project highlights the unique passions and values of our students while creating a positive impact in our school and community.
🌟 NHS Senior Spotlight: Colton Williams & Noah Filla 🌟
Colton has been a member of National Honor Society for 2 years, and Noah has been a dedicated member for 3 years.
For their NHS service projects, both students chose to help community members by clearing snow and plowing driveways this winter. Colton focused on assisting elderly neighbors and others on his road, helping ensure safe travel in and out of their homes. Noah also gave his time by snow plowing driveways for those in need.
Their willingness to step up and serve shows how small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
Thank you, Colton and Noah, for your dedication to service, leadership, and making a difference in our community!

📬 The first response to our 4th Grade friendly letters has arrived!
Charlotte Dircksen was thrilled to hear back from her favorite team, Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball!
Their advice to Charlotte was:
"Always try your best and believe in yourself; with that, you can accomplish amazing things. Most importantly, always be kind to others as that goes a long ways."
Even more exciting—the official letter was signed by the entire team roster!
Thank you, Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball, for making our 4th Grade day so special! ❤️🏐

🎓 Senior Spotlight – Mailah Xiong 🎓
We are shining the spotlight on our graduating Class of 2026!
🎓 Plans after graduation:
I plan to attend college to earn my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology.
🌟 Favorite Subject:
Math — I’ve always loved math classes, even when I made mistakes. It’s exciting to reach those higher-level math classes I only heard about in movies as a kid. The teachers who taught them were always fun, dedicated, and incredibly smart.
🌟 Favorite Teacher:
Mrs. Marino has been my day one since the very beginning (sorry, Stoik). Even when my classmates and I were middle schoolers and she was a sub for a while, we were a vibe. She's been my forensics coach for 5 years, and just someone I could talk to. Whenever I have my free time, and she has hers, I'll manage to find myself back in her cramped classroom with tables bigger than they need to be. And I will still call her Ms. Shay.
🌟 Best Memory:
Laughing like crazy on the Dominican Republic trip.
🌟 Activities:
Speech Team, Band, Jazz Band, Musical, Spring Play, Above and Beyond, Student Council, Hope Squad
🌟 What I’ll Miss Most:
My amazing teachers!! I've had many great teachers who I've looked up to throughout middle and high school. I'll genuinely miss all of them and their energy when I need it, especially when there's lighthearted bickering here and there.
🌟 Advice for Younger Classmen:
Be kind to others and yourself. Don't feel disappointed when not meeting your own expectations. Just because you don't get what you want compared to other people, that doesn't mean you don't deserve success.
We’re so proud of you, Mailah! Best of luck on your next chapter! 🧡🖤

Have you noticed some shiny new bikes and smiling faces around town? 🚲✨
Our April PBIS drawing brought some BIG excitement as these students rode away with brand new bikes! By earning Thunderbucks for being respectful and responsible, they showed what it means to make positive choices every day—and it paid off in a fun way!
A huge THANK YOU to Global Finishing Solutions for their incredible generosity. Not only did they provide bikes and helmets, but also basketballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, bats, and gloves to reward our students. Your support helps us celebrate and encourage the amazing things our kids are doing! 👏
Way to go, students—keep up the great work! 🎉
